Arbitrage Bots
VOOI Ultra Arbitrage Bots automate delta-neutral strategies across supported venues.
A bot opens a long and a short position on the same asset on two venues. Price movements on the two legs mostly offset each other, while the strategy targets funding, Open Interest, or trading volume goals.
Available Bots
Funding Bot
Waits for sustained positive funding and can hold a pair for up to 14 days.
Open Interest Bot
Keeps a pair open for up to 7 days and exits once funding stops paying over a 24-hour period.
Volume Maker Bot
Keeps a pair open for up to 4 hours, then closes it and searches again, prioritizing trading volume while accumulating hourly funding.
Custom Bot
Lets you configure the holding period, cost limit, and entry rule yourself.
How It Works
Connect two venues Sign in and connect at least two supported venues. Each leg uses the balance available on its venue.
Choose a goal and margin Select a bot depending on whether you want to target funding, Open Interest, or trading volume, and configure the margin.
Start the bot The bot monitors available pairs and manages the hedge automatically. You can stop it at any time.
Bots check available pairs every minute against the selected goal’s entry conditions and cost limits. When several pairs qualify, the bot selects the one expected to generate the highest funding over the holding period after estimated opening and closing costs.
A bot may close its positions when funding moves against the pair, the maximum holding period is reached, or one of the legs approaches liquidation. Stopping the bot also closes its current pair.
Create an Arbitrage Bot
1. Choose a Goal
Select one of the available strategies:
Earn funding — waits for sustained positive funding and can hold a pair for up to 14 days.
Hold open interest — keeps a pair open for up to 7 days and exits once funding stops paying over a 24-hour period.
Trade volume — keeps a pair open for up to 4 hours, then closes it and searches for another opportunity.
Custom — lets you configure the holding period, cost limit, and entry rule yourself.
2. Choose Venues
Select at least two connected venues.
Each leg uses the balance available on its own venue.
Enable Always include if you want the bot to always use a particular venue when selecting a pair.
If another venue is required, click Connect venue.
3. Select Markets
Choose which market categories the bot can use:
Crypto
US stocks
Asia stocks
ETFs & indices
Commodities
Forex
Pre-IPO
Select All to allow all available market categories.
4. Set Margin and Leverage
Enter the Margin per venue and select the Max Leverage.
The margin remains on each venue. The available position size is limited by the balances on the selected venues and applicable market leverage limits.
Higher leverage increases liquidation risk. The bot monitors both legs and closes the pair when one of them approaches liquidation.
5. Review and Start
The Summary shows the current bot configuration, including:
selected venues;
position size;
margin in use;
leverage;
cost limit;
expected profit;
entry conditions;
maximum holding period;
closing conditions.
Review the settings and click Start bot.
Important to Know
Each leg keeps its own margin on its own venue. A sharp price movement can therefore liquidate one leg even when the overall position is hedged. Funding may also change before the strategy earns back its trading costs, and higher leverage increases these risks.
You can continue trading on the same venues while a bot is running. Bots skip markets where you already have a position. If you manually close one of the bot’s positions, the bot stops until both venues are checked and it is started again.
You can run up to 20 bots per account, each with its own goal, venues, and margin settings.
Fees
There is no additional or special fee for using Arbitrage Bots.
Bot trades are subject to the same standard VOOI and venue trading fees that apply to other trades through VOOI Ultra. No separate bot fee is charged.
