## Why Use Funding Arbitrage

**VOOI Funding Arbitrage** helps traders find and execute potential funding arbitrage setups across supported venues.

It uses data from [Funding Radar](https://docs.vooi.io/vooi-ultra-v3/vooi_ultra-fundingradar) to identify possible cross-venue setups for a selected asset and shows historical spread data for additional context. This helps traders evaluate whether a funding difference is only temporary or has been present over time.

Funding Arbitrage then can be used to prepare a paired long and short setup through VOOI Ultra, making it easier to open both legs from one interface instead of executing them manually on separate venues.

Traders can access Funding Arbitrage without authorization. If a trader decides to proceed and open a strategy, authorization is required at that step.

## Typical Use Case or How to Use Funding Arbitrage

1. Open [VOOI Funding Arbitrage](https://ultra.vooi.io/funding-arbitrage).
2. Narrow the view by entering an asset symbol in the search field.
3. Select the asset you want to use for the strategy.
4. Review the proposed long and short venue setup.
5. Click on a strategy from the list to check the historical spread and funding-related metrics for additional context:\

**If you have access to VOOI Ultra:**

6. Enter the strategy size and select leverage.
7. Review the estimated execution details for both legs.
8. Click Open when you are ready to proceed with strategy execution.
