# Connect Gate to VOOI Ultra

This guide explains how to connect your Gate Main Account or Subaccount to VOOI Ultra and enable trading using an API key.

## Before You Start

For the **Gate Main Account**, make sure that:

* The Gate account has been created and is accessible
* Trading is available for the account
* The account is funded
* You can complete Gate **Security Verification** when creating an API key

If you plan to connect a **Subaccount**, also make sure that:

* A **Standard Subaccount** has been created and is accessible from the Main Account
* The Subaccount is funded
* You can create an API key for that Subaccount

**API key:** The API key must be created for the Main Account or Subaccount you will use to trade through VOOI Ultra.

## Use Gate Main Account

Use this section if you want to connect your main Gate account directly to VOOI Ultra and trade using its trading balance.

For the **Gate Main Account**, make sure that:

* The Gate account has been created and is accessible
* Trading is available for the account
* The account is funded
* You can complete Gate **Security Verification** when creating an API key

### Create a Gate API Key for Main Account

1. Log in to Gate at <https://www.gate.com/>.
2. Open **API Management**.
3. Click **Create API Key**.
4. Select **Trading Account**.
5. Create API Key:

6. Enter API Key Remark, e.g. VOOI
7. Add the VOOI Ultra IP addresses:

   ```
   35.78.12.245,54.249.80.55,52.68.244.92,13.159.166.194,13.112.74.148,52.192.115.1,52.192.68.116,13.193.138.71,57.181.0.148,13.115.147.66
   ```
8. Enable the following permissions:
   * **Spot Trading (Read and Write)**
   * **Perpetual Futures (Read and Write)**
   * **Stocks (Read and Write)**
   * **Margin Trading (Unified Account) (Read and Write)**
9. Click **Submit**.
10. Complete **Security Verification**.
11. Copy the **API Key** and **Secret Key**.

**Important:** Save the Secret Key when it is displayed. It may not be available again after the API key is created.

### Add the API Key to VOOI Ultra

1. Open VOOI Ultra <https://ultra.vooi.io/>
2. Go to the Gate connection flow.
3. Enter the **API Key** and **Secret Key** created for your Gate Main Account.
4. Press **Enable Trading**.

Once connected, VOOI Ultra can use the funds and positions of your Gate Main Account.

## Use Gate Sub-account

Use this section if you want to keep VOOI Ultra trading separate from your main Gate account by using a dedicated Gate sub-account.

### Create or Configure Sub-account

1. Open Gate Subaccount Management at <https://www.gate.com/myaccount/profile/sub-account-manage>
2. Click **Create**.
3. Enter a username.
4. Select **Standard Subaccount** as the account type.
5. Complete **Security Verification**.
6. Click **Confirm**.

The new Subaccount will appear in the Subaccount Management list.

### Fund the Sub-account

1. Open **Subaccount Management**.
2. Find the Subaccount you want to use.
3. Click **Transfer**.
4. Select the Main Account as the source and the Subaccount as the destination.
5. Select the asset and enter the amount.
6. Confirm the transfer.

Make sure the Subaccount has sufficient funds before trading through VOOI Ultra.

### Create API Key for Sub-account

1. In **Subaccount Management**, find the Subaccount you want to connect.
2. Open **APIs** for that Subaccount.
3. Click **Create API Key:**

4. Enter API Key Remark, e.g. VOOI
5. Add the VOOI Ultra IP addresses:

   ```

   ```
6. Enable the following permissions:
   * **Spot Trading (Read and Write)**
   * **Perpetual Futures (Read and Write)**
   * **Stocks (Read and Write)**
   * **Margin Trading (Unified Account) (Read and Write)**
7. Click **Submit**.
8. Complete **Security Verification**.
9. Copy the Subaccount **API Key** and **Secret Key**.

**Important:** Save the Secret Key when it is displayed. It may not be available again after the API key is created.

### Add the API Key to VOOI Ultra

1. Open VOOI Ultra at <https://ultra.vooi.io/>
2. Go to the Gate connection flow.
3. Enter the **API Key** and **Secret Key** created for your Gate Subaccount.
4. Press **Enable Trading**.

Trading through this connection uses the funds and positions of that Gate Subaccount.
